I’ve always loved the album ‘Euphoria‘ by the band ‘Insides‘. It came out in 1993, a time when I was getting into music making, and it had an influence on me moving towards ‘electronic’ music.
‘Insides’ were one of those acts who didn’t release all that much and got bypassed by many. I wasn’t even aware of their second album on ‘Third Stone’ until about 2004ish but once I got hold of it I decided to try and make contact to ask about a collaboration with their vocalist, Kirsty Yates. After a few emails to various people I got to chat to Kirsty on the phone and she said I could have a go at playing with a previously recorded vocal from an unfinished track. I never got to hear the original music for it and so it turned into a weird project of building the music under the vocal.
The version you can hear here is the newest version. It’s a track which I’ve worked on a number of times and I’ve made some very differing versions of it, some with beats, some without. I think I like this one the most and maybe giving it away will mean I can stop working on it. I also hope it means a few more people listen to ‘Euphoria’.

Thanks! This was an amazing treat.
I’ve been missing her vocals. I managed to track down her contributions to the Outcast album in 1996. I’d love to hear some of those other versions.
