Where does the time go? I’ve just realised I’ve not posted anything on here since November. That’s scary shit. Guess I’ve been occupied elsewhere but still, that’s slack.
Hmmm, so, what’s going on in the slightly tarnished world of AoW? The ep for ‘La Madame avec la Chien’ is now complete and being pressed. It should be ready for purchase in a month or two. There’ll be a gig in Brussels at the end of April to celebrate the fact.
The Openland project is also drawing to a close. It’s been a lot of hard work to get it all finished. I spent a long time creating tracks for the soundtrack and then realised that I had to also make an music album to go with it. The tracks for the film were created as soundtrack pieces and not so much as music you would want to listen to from beginning to end, so making the album involved plenty of reworking, editing and tweaking.
The première for Openland, including a live audio/visual set from myself and Patrick (the film maker) is in Paris at the end of March. I’ll post up the exact details when I get them. I think there’s an after party where I’ll be dishing out some bass driven stumble stepping material along with a live set from my old mate Chris from St Albans. Should be a laff.
